Gabriele Reuter | Embodied Agility

Gabriele Reuter | Team Performance and Embodied Agility

Every change process is also a physical process. Change needs to be understood not only in the head, but also felt in your heart, stomach and legs.

Agile transformation processes stand for moveability and adaptability in thought and action. This goes hand in hand with an intensive cultural change that demands a great deal of individual and collective reflection from everyone involved.

Change buzzwords quickly become an empty shell if teams lose their inner cohesion in the course of a change process, or fail to find it in the first place.

It is the art of creating and maintaining spaces for change.

I specialize in bringing teams in an agile environment into a collective workflow. My Embodied Agility approach offers a unique approach to team development that combines choreographic body knowledge with systemic team coaching.

The teams are addressed through embodiment and movement methods on the non-verbal communication level and strengthened in their social cohesion. Ingrained communication patterns and resistance are often decoded and made flexible more quickly and efficiently than through cognitive processes.

These basic principles of my work are combined into a customized offer for your team that ranges from short training sessions or workshops to long-term project support.

Depending on your needs, I work with fixed teams, open groups and individual leaders. I support Scrum Masters in the moderation of new formats for retrospectives and new teams in setting themselves up. Sensitivity, humor and a fascination for people accompany me in all these forms of collaboration.

For assignments with larger teams, I like to collaborate with experts from my network of agile coaches, design thinkers, conflict mediators and experts in diversity sensitization, accessibility and equity issues.

Gabriele has been supporting our institution in a long-term change process for some time now, while also coaching both the team and individual employees on specific projects, conflicts or issues in the short term. She manages to understand very different characters and how they work together, to get everyone involved, to build deep trust and to initiate reflection. She understands complex relationships and interlocking processes very quickly, always gets to the heart of the matter and never loses sight of the goal.

With her humor, her clarity and her high level of empathy, she succeeds in creating and maintaining a space of security and possible further development even in challenging situations. She incorporates exciting methods of agile coaching, design thinking and bodywork, while always reacting openly and flexibly to everything that arises in the process. We are very grateful to Gabriele for the enriching and sustainable collaboration!

Gabriele’s workshop was great – her combination of technical scenario planning with performance skills has helped me to make future visions more tangible and more actionable. Super productive and easy at the same time – that’s how workshops have to be!
